‘Those two minutes were extremely….’ – Kuldeep Yadav reveals Suryakumar Yadav’s pep talk ahead of Asia Cup exploits

The Indian cricket team’s star bowler Kuldeep Yadav has consistently performed for the team since his comeback in the India’s tour of West Indies and the continental tournament, the Asia Cup, 2023. In the three matches of Asia Cup, Kuldeep Yadav has sent nine batsmen back to the dugout, while five belonging to the Pakistan squad and 4 to Sri Lanka.

Kuldeep Yadav has shown a great dedication towards the team due to which he has also earned the prestigious spot in the upcoming ODI World Cup, 2023. The Indian Cricket Board recently released a video on the Board’s official social media account featuring Kuldeep Yadav and Suryakumar Yadav, wherein the duo were caught in a fun chat after the Team’s match against Sri Lanka.

India qualified for the final match of Asia Cup, 2023, which will be played on 17 September. In the video, Kuldeep Yadav openly thanked Suryakumar Yadav, for his two minute pep talk, which made him have a higher concentration as well as a morale boost.

“You gave me a two-minute pep talk to not let the batters loose. It happens when you take five wickets, you get relaxed. Despite maintaining the confidence level, the body language can get relaxed. So those two minutes were extremely important to me, and it helped me stay in the game, and I got mentally prepared to take wickets and do my duty for the team, so thank you, Surya bhai,” said Kuldeep Yadav in a video posted by the Indian cricket board. 

“There is a lot of hard work behind the scenes; the one who is not playing is also trying his best, looking for his opportunity to play, but if you are getting the opportunity to field, I look towards how I can do a run-out or take a catch to change the game; I look to take the one opportunity to change the game,” added Kuldeep Yadav in the video.
