England pacer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the entire season of the upcoming Indian T20 League. Wood had suffered an elbow injury during the first Test between England and the West Indies in Antigua. The right-arm pacer had bowled 17 overs in the first innings before sustaining the injury.

The left-arm pacer from Australia went unsold in the mega auction last month. Dwarshius had entered the auction at a base price of 30 lakhs INR. According to the replacement rules of the ITL, an injured player can be replaced by an unsold player and not outside of the player auction pool. The left-arm pacer can be an apt replacement for Mark Wood. Talking about his T20 numbers, the 27-year-old has played 96 games and has 117 scalps to his name. Notably, he has been part of Punjab and Delhi squads in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
