The 2019 50-over World Cup-winner has captained the Kolkata team last year. Morgan’s captaincy was impeccable during the second of the last season. His side was languishing at the seventh position before the start of second leg. They went to play the final before losing the title clash against Chennai. However, he had a terrible time with the bat, which might have compelled the franchise to release him. His calm approach on the field can tempt the Bangalore team to go for him in the mega auction. His international captaincy will also be considered during the auction.
