Over the previous few seasons, Rahul Tripathi has put up some amazing performances in the Indian T20 League. This resulted in his first India call-up during the team’s tour to Ireland. He was also a part of the Indian squad for the first T20I match of the England tour, but still has not made his Indian debut.
The Indian squad now has a large bench strength, particularly in the middle order, hence he was omitted for the series. The young batter will have to wait a little more to make his debut for the Indian team.
