The four-time champions had a horrible time in the last season. Entering the tournament as defending champions, the team finished ninth, their worst performance in the 10-team tournament. Even though they have shown faith in some players from the last season’s squad, they would still have to plug the remaining holes.
With the tournament returning to the old home-and-away format, the team would want a spin bowling or slow bowling all-rounder to suit their game plan in Chennai. Chris Green might be a good fit for the team.
