Tired of waiting for DLC, Elden Ring fans takes on new challenge

An Elden Ring fan has now pledged to fight one of the main story bosses, Godfrey hitless, will all weapons. Not only that, the fights will also be hitless and will go on until FromSoftware releases the long-awaited DLC announced last year.

It’s not uncommon for gamers to try doing the impossible or something that has never been done before. For Souls-like games, gamers usually try to do no-hit runs, every weapon run, stats-only run and many more.

Many gamers like GinoMachino constantly try to create different builds and use different weapons for their various runs in the Elden Ring. This time around, a user named g0n1s4 has taken on the challenge out of sheer boredom while waiting for the new DLC. As of now, the gamer is on day 3 of defeating Godfrey.

The users do make it seem like a walk in the park. After all, how can we call a game boss hard if they are defeated in a few minutes? We assure you that is not what a regular fight looks like. Most of the fights are players running away or losing in one hit.

Despite that, it won the Game of The Year award in 2022 by a landslide, with hardcore Souls fans and casual gamers both appreciating the gameplay, design and open-world exploration.

The company last year teased the DLC to fans, revealing that they are working on an expansion and an image of presumably Miquella heading somewhere. Ever since then, nothing has been the same for Souls fans.

Multiple theories on what the expansion will be adding have been going on. Popular YouTuber VaatiVidya who specializes in lores of Souls gamers also gave their thoughts. Initial leaks suggest that the expansion will at least be half the size of the base game.
