2. Mahela Jayawardene
The former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene was appointed the head coach of the Mumbai franchise in the year 2017 after Ricky Ponting. Mumbai went on to become the champions in his debut year as a coach. Under his stint, Mumbai won consecutive titles in 2019 and 2020. However, the team couldn’t even reach the playoffs in the 2018 season.
