This veteran all-rounder performed very well for his Trinbago franchise. In the must-win game against the eventual winner, the Patriots, he scored 72 runs off 24 balls. Russell also smashed six sixes in six consecutive deliveries. That innings helped his franchise to get qualified for the semi-finals.
However, his franchise qualified for the final also. But, they failed to win the tournament against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Hence, the Trinbago franchise will look to continue its dominance in the CPL. For that, they will hope Russell to perform again brilliantly for them in the next season.
