2. $80,000 – Charith Asalanka:
Charith Asalanka of Sri Lanka won a great deal in the auction. The reigning champions Jaffna Kings purchased the left-hand batter for $80,000. Asalanka was the most expensive batter at the auction. The Jaffna Kings, now including players like Asalanka, David Miller, Shoaib Malik, Chris Lynn, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, are among the top batting teams as a result of his signing.
