2. South Africa against Australia in 2008
The proteas entered the Australian shores to register their maiden Test series win down under. Their best result before this series in Australia was a few drawn series. Meanwhile, in the first game of the series, they had a humongous task to chase to take a lead in the series.
The then Graeme Smith-led side was asked to chase down 411 runs at the WACA ground, that had one of the quickest pitches in Australia. However, thanks to former skipper, Smith and AB de Villiers’ hundreds, the team chased down the target after losing only four wickets.
