Twitter Reactions: Sheldon Jackson makes a mess of golden opportunity, bamboozled by Hasaranga for a duck

Bangalore is playing Kolkata in the 6th match of the Indian T20 League 2022. The match is taking place at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
Faf Du Plessis won the toss and asked Kolkata to bat first. Bangalore has often been criticized for it bowling efforts. But today was one of those rare days when the Bangalore bowling attack has put the team in the driver’s seat. Kolkata has looked rocky from the very start. They have lost 6 wickets for 67 runs within the 9th over of the innings.
Sheldon Jackson was in the news in Kolkata’s first match because of his lightning speed behind the stumps. But today against Bangalore it was not his day in front of the stumps. He came out to bat with score reading 67 for 5 in 8.5 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga had just dismissed Sunil Narine of the previous ball. Jackson took guard and as Hasaranga bowled the final delivery of the over, he poot his front foot forward and looked to play an off drive. He completely misread the googly and played for leg-spinner. The stumps were shattered and Jackson had to walk back leaving Hasaranga on a hat-trick.
The fans soon took to Twitter commenting on Hasaranga’s clever variation and how Jackson misread the googly. They were also seen questioning Sheldon Jackson’s place in the first eleven of the team. Notably, it was Hasaranga’s third wicket and he is in the middle of a great spell.
