‘Unprofessional rude behavior’: Twitter bashes Harshal Patel for not shaking hands with Riyan Parag after the match
Bangalore faced Rajasthan in the 39th match of the Indian T20 League 2022 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The pitch provided something for everybody and the fans were treated with an even contest between the bat and the ball.
Bangalore won the toss and decided to field first. Rajasthan kept losing wickets from the very beginning of their innings. It was on the back of a brilliant 56 off 31 balls by Riyan Parag that the men in pink and blue reached a total of 144 runs in their 20 overs.
The last over of the innings was bowled by Harshal Patel while the man on strike was Riyan Parag. The batter hit Patel for one four and two sixes picking up 18 runs of the over. But things got tense after this as the two teams were walking back to their respective dugouts. While Parag was walking back, words were hurled at him by Patel and the youngster did not keep quiet giving it back to the Bangalore bowler. Things were getting dirty as the two started to walk toward each other, but the support staff of the Rajasthan and players of the Bangalore team intervened and stopped it from getting worse. However, the reason behind the incident is not yet clear.

As the match went on it was thought to be a one-off affair and everybody expected that the two cricketers have also moved on from the incident. However, Harshal Patel apparently held on to the grudge. Patel was the last man to be dismissed for Bangalore as he was caught by Parag of Kuldeep Sen. While catching the ball the Rajasthan youngster showed a bit of swagger and did his signature dance moves. But as the two teams met for conventional hand-shakes, Harshal avoided Parag and walked away. The behavior from the senior player surprised Parag and the video of both the incidents went viral on the social media platforms. The fans immediately took to Twitter and bashed the Bangalore player for his immaturity and unprofessional behavior. While there was also group of fans trying reason for the behavior from Harshal.

Speaking of the match Rajasthan won the match convincingly by 29 runs, picking up their sixth win in the tournament.
Here is how the fans reacted to the incident on Twitter.
Guys stop throwing garbage at Harshal blindly. If he had any attitude issue he wouldn't have shook hands with other RR players. Remember last year when jaddu hit him for 37, he did shake hands with jaddu. Parag must have said something hurtful/below the belt. #think #HarshalPatel

First gets bashed for 2 sixes in the 20th over, picks up a fight with @ParagRiyan and then refuses to shake hands with him after the match is over….These are the standards set by the perennial chokers @RCBTweets .#RCBvRR #HarshalPatel https://t.co/UvWhOVjz9j
