Urvashi Rautela heads to Australia ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022
With every passing day, it is getting clear that Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela is fond of India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant. Around the midnight of Rishabh Pant’s birthday, she posted a reel on Instagram titled ‘Happy Birthday’. Notably, she didn’t take Pant’s name. Now, with only a couple of weeks left in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, the actress has left for Australia.
India players already landed Down Under a few days ago. Recently, they have been training every day and posed wearing Indian Cricket Board-issued blazers after landing. The players are sweating and preparing to lift the title in Australia. Meanwhile, in a few photos posted by Rautela on Instagram, she captioned ‘Followed my heart and it led me to Australia’.
India will play two warm-up games before the all-important clash against Pakistan
While the tournament starts on October 16, India will start their campaign on October 23 against Pakistan. Just like last year, the World Cricket governing council has seeded different teams in different rounds. The concept of seeding means that the teams are slotted in different rounds according to the World Ranking. Some of the participating 16 teams are slotted in the Preliminary round while the other are slotted directly in the next round, i.e Super 12.
While some of the teams will be fighting for points in the tournament, India will play two warm-up games. They will play against host Australia on October 17 in Brisbane and then will play New Zealand two days later. Notably, the Trans-Tasman rivals won’t be playing against India in the tournament unless these teams qualify for the semifinals. Australia and New Zealand are slotted in Group One while India is slotted in Group Two.
