India aiming to win their 7th Asia Cup title

The Indian Cricket Board had made some changes to the Yo-Yo test results and the minimum required score was brought down to 16.5. Virat Kohli was quick off the blocks in posting his Yo-Yo test results. The test results meanwhile for the other players including Rohit Sharma haven’t been revealed as yet.

The Indian team and the Indian Cricket Board want to have its players in prime fitness for the busy schedule ahead. The Board has apparently sent out 14 net bowlers to get the players ready for the 2023 Asia Cup. The Indian team has been showing indifferent form with the bat in recent times, especially against the spinners.

Asia Cup 2023 was originally to be hosted by Pakistan but was met with reluctance from the Indian Cricket Board. The Asian Cricket Body and the Pakistani Cricket then relented to host the tournament with a Hybrid Model.

India will play all their games in Sri Lanka who are defending champions after having won the tournament last year. Rohit Sharma led India have won the Asia Cup the maximum number of times. If India happens to win the tournament again, this will be their 7th title the most by any team.
