Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer is famous for his hilarious tweets, which often end up winning everyone’s heart. The former India cricketer recently came up with another witty Tweet and replied to an Australian media company.  Channel 7 recently tried to compare the batting record of Mitchell Starc and Virat Kohli in the last two years. Kohli has been going through an extended lean patch.  The channel tried to mock Kohli by sharing a stat that showed Starc having a higher Test batting average than Kohli since 2019.

“Your stat of the day.” read Channel 7’s caption. However, the Jaffer came up with a cheeky response to this stat. While quoting their Tweet, he compared the batting average of Navdeep Saini and the Australian batter Steve Smith in ODIs.

Meanwhile, the Indian batter had to miss the second Test due to a back spasm. While his presence was severely missed as South Africa ended up winning the Test and levelling the series 1-1, he is expected to play the third and final Test of the series. Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid sounded optimistic about him returning for the series decider.

“Virat Kohli should be fine from all accounts, he should be fine. He has had the opportunity to run around a little bit, he has had the opportunity to test it a little bit. Hopefully, with a couple of net sessions in Cape Town, he should be good to go. Everything I am hearing and just having a chat with him, he should be good to go in four days time,” said Rahul Dravid during a virtual press conference on Thursday.
