The 15th edition of the Indian T20 League has entered its second week. Rajasthan will take on Bangalore in the 13th match of the tournament today, on 5th April 2022. Rajasthan is coming into the match on the back of two consecutive wins and, thus, are sitting at the top of the points table. Bangalore, on the other hand, are currently ranked 7th on the table, having won 1 game out of two so far. Rajasthan will look to consolidate their top spot, while Bangalore will look to climb up the table.

Ahead of the start of the 13th game, former Indian batter, Wasim Jaffer has shared a hilarious meme on his official Twitter handle. The meme involves Yuzvendra Chahal and Devdutt Padikkal, two players who played for Bangalore last season but will appear for the men in pink this year. Notably, Jaffer is pretty active on social media and is known to share witty and humorous posts time and again.

This time around, Jaffer has posted a picture from Mahabharata featuring Arjun and Bhisma Pitamah. He captioned the post as “@yuzi_chahal and @devdpd07 playing against Bangalore tonight.” The fans loved the post and it didn’t take a lot of time for the post to get viral.

Chahal has featured in 113 matches for Bangalore and picked up 139 wickets for them. He was one of Virat Kohli’s prime wicket taking option during his stay in the franchise. But to the surprise of everybody, Bangalore did not retain Chahal ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022 Mega Auction. Rajasthan picked up the leg spinner for a price of INR 6.5 Cr at the mega auction.

Devdutt Padikkal too played an instrumental role for Bangalore in the last couple of seasons. He provided them with some solid starts and formed some important partnerships with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Both these players will be seen playing for Rajasthan this season and Jaffer’s meme referring to the two facing their old team in the match came at a perfect time.
