Watch: Adam Zampa bowls a full-toss, Mathew Wade’s hilarious remark leaves everyone in splits
Australia locked horns with England in the second T20I of the three-match series on Wednesday. This is the last series for both teams before they kick-start their campaign for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022.
The hosts Australia suffered a narrow 9-run defeat at the hands of England in the first game of the series in Perth. In pursuit of a 209-run target, Australia managed 200 runs in their 20 overs. David Warner played a stellar knock of 73 runs in 44 balls but didn’t receive a lot of support from the other end.
Australia needed to win the next game to keep the series alive but it couldn’t happen. England exhibited another stellar show as they beat the hosts by 8 runs to seal the series 2-0.
Australia won the toss in the second match and asked England to bat first. Meanwhile, a funny incident involving Adam Zampa and Mathew Wade took place in the 8th over of the game.
In a video that has been doing the rounds on social media, Adam Zampa bowled a full toss to Harry Brook. Following the delivery, Wade hilariously said, “Yep, that would have definitely been LB Zampy boy” from behind the stumps.

The third and final T20I of the series is scheduled to be played on Friday at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Recently, former Australia skipper Michael Clarke lashed at the team management for leaving out Steve Smith from the playing XI despite him being a part of the World Cup squad.
“Like, they took Steve Smith to Western Australia. Flew him to Perth to make him 12th man – that’s not right,” Clarke had said, as quoted by FOX Sports Australia.
“And don’t tell me Steve Smith has to bat No.3 or No.4. If he opens the batting, he will be the leading run-scorer in the T20 World Cup. He’s still that good a player.”
Smith wasn’t even part of the playing XI in the second T20I as well. It will be interesting to see if he will play the third game or not.
