Both Ajinkya Rahane and Yashasvi Jaiswal were busy playing for the West Zone in the Duleep Trophy final. They locked horns with the South Zone in Coimbatore. After four days of action, Ajinkya Rahane led West Zone to victory. But, during the last inning of the South Zone, some unwanted incident took place involving Rahane and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Speaking of the match, South Zone got a target of 529 runs in the last inning.
After losing top-order batters, Ravi Teza was batting in the middle-order. But, he got involved in some heated exchanges with Jaiswal which led to some problems. Then, the umpires and Rahane tried to settle things. But, Rahane took a bold decision regarding Yashasvi Jaiswal during the match as the video went viral.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 265 runs off 323 balls in the second innings for West Zone
Speaking of the video, Ravi Teja complained to umpires about the behaviour of Jaiswal. Then, skipper Rahane and umpires came up to settle the matter. But, even after that, Jaiswal was not looking to finish things off. Then, Rahane asked the young batter to leave the field. However, he made a re-entry to the field after seven overs.
Speaking of the match, West Zone won the toss and they opted to bat first. In the first innings, West Zone scored 270 runs. In reply, the South Zone scored 327 runs in their first inning. Baba Indrajith scored a hundred for his team. Then, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 265 runs off 323 balls in their second innings.
Along with him, Sarfaraz Khan also scored 127* runs off 178 balls. Thus, West Zone declared their innings on 585 runs for four wickets. But, while, chasing a mammoth total of 529 runs, Soth Zone got bundled out for 234 runs. Jaiswal won the player of the match award for that match-winning knock. Meanwhile, West Zone’s Jaydev Unadkat won the player of the series award for scoring 50 runs and taking 13 wickets. Even in the final, he took six wickets in both innings.
