India and England are currently playing their first of the series in Hyderabad. English wicket-keeper Ben Foakes was involved in a hilarious incident during the second innings.

Foakes crashed into stumps while trying to collect a throw from the deep. Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal can’t control his laugh, as well as the England teammates. Watch the video below:

England won the toss and chose to bat first in the first test

English openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started their innings brilliantly. They were 55 for no loss in the first eleven overs. India’s spin maestro Ravichandran Ashwin gave the first breakthrough.

The next six wickets fall rapidly for England. Thanks to their skipper Ben Stokes for his fighting knock. He scored a brilliant 70 off 88 balls, including six fours and three sixes. The three Lions first innings ended on 246 runs.

‘He can’t only do things other keepers can’t but also make them look incredibly easy. So having someone like that behind the sticks is useful, especially if we do find ourselves in conditions where the ball is spinning. He’s a very special talent behind there and having someone like that can take a two per cent, three per cent chance that could be massive in the series’ English skipper Ben Stokes said earlier about their wicket-keeper Ben Foakes.

England’s ‘Bazball’ have failed miserably in Hyderabad. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets each. While Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel shared four wickets equally. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have started their innings with a positive intent.

Skipper Rohit Sharma falls cheaply on 24 by Jack Leach. He took Rohit Sharma’s wicket 5th time in his career. Jaiswal scored his fifty with a brilliant four. India finished their first day at 119 for 1. Yashasvi Jaiswal (65 not out) and Shubman Gill (14 not out) at the crease.
