Watch: Cab driver in Perth unable to get over Virat Kohli’s match-winning against Pakistan
Virat Kohli‘s 82 not out against Pakistan in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 can’t be easily forgotten in the near future. When he came out to bat, he saw three more wickets falling at the other end at regular intervals. At 31/4, it looked like the game was gone. Kohli started slowly as he scored only 15 runs in 23 balls. In the 12th over of India’s innings, he opened up with a six-over long-on.
After this, he kept hitting one or two boundaries every over to keep up with the required run rate. However, his biggest Test was when the team needed 48 runs off the last three overs. The 18th over was bowled by Shaheen Afridi and was hit for 16 runs. In the penultimate over, the 2007 winners needed 32 runs to win. After the first four balls, Kohli hit a six over long-on from backfoot. The video of the shot has been going viral these days.
Meanwhile, the right-hander hit another six over fine leg to bring the equation down to 16 off six balls. In the last over, the former champions needed 13 off three balls. However, Mohammad Nawaz, who bowled the last over, bowled a beamer which was rightly dealt with. The Delhi player hit it for six over square leg, the biggest boundary. This proved decisive for India’s win over their Asian rivals.
Meanwhile, a week after the game, there are fans who can’t get over the innings yet. In a video that is going viral, a cab driver was speaking to a renowned journalist. She expressed her emotions about the innings and mentioned that she wanted the former India skipper to win the game for India.
