Watch: Fans desperate to meet Virat Kohli, surround his car outside Arun Jaitley Stadium

Former India skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t been staying at his team’s Hotel in Delhi. As he is a hometown boy, he has been living with his family in Gurgaon. He is said to have been granted permission by the team management to stay at his home in the capital city of India. The right-hander will join the team in their hotel right before the second Test against Australia.

Meanwhile, a day ahead of the second game, the local was seen driving his Porsche outside the Arun Jaitley Stadium. By the looks of it, he was leaving the stadium. Meanwhile, the fans got hold of his vehicle and surrounded him as they wanted to meet their hero. In a video that is going viral, the fans were shouting his name. This led to a minor jam outside the stadium.

Meanwhile, the 2008 U19 World Cup winner isn’t having the best of form in red-ball cricket in the last one year. His last Test fifty came against South Africa early last year. Since then, he has been going through a poor form. Even though he addressed his poor form in white-ball cricket last year, his batting form in the longest format of the game is still a work in progress.

Meanwhile, the last time he played a Test match in Delhi was against Sri Lanka in late 2017. In the game, he hit one of his double tons in Tests. The former India skipper would like to recreate the same in the game against Australia. Not to forget, the home team is looking to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series. After all, India won the first game by innings and 132 runs.
