India is known to be terrific host when it comes to cricket matches and tournaments. The ODI World Cup 2023 though has shown some glaring lapses. One such incident nearly injured a few fans.

Luckily none of the fans were hurt as the Australian players seemed to be wondering for the safety of the people.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for 209 in the 44th over as they suffered a massive collapse. At one stage the Lankans were well placed at 165/2 only to lose their last eight wickets for 44 runs,

Kusal Perera finally struck form to score 78 runs from 82 balls with 12 fours. Pathum Nissanka scored 61 runs from 67 balls with the help of 8 fours in his knock. For the Australian team it was Adam Zampa who was the star with the ball.

The Australian leg-spinner picked 4/47 from his 8 overs with one maiden over. Australia need to win the game with a handsome margin to move up the table. Pat Cummins and his side are currently at the bottom of the table with zero wins after two games.
