Watch: Frustrated Haris Rauf slaps Kamran Ghulam in PSL
Lahore Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf slapped his teammate Kamran Ghulam during the last league game of the Pakistan Super League on February 21. Qalandars were playing against Peshawar Zalmi. Zalmi skipper Wahab Riaz won the toss and elected to bat first. In the second over of the innings, Kamran Ghulam from the home side dropped an easy catch of Hazratullah Zazai on the bowling of Haris Rauf.
Two balls later, Zazai’s opening partner Mohammad Haris got out trying to pull the bouncer towards deep fine leg. The catch was taken by Fawad Ahmed. Rauf started celebrating the wicket and his teammates started surrounding the pacer. Ghulam also came in front of Rauf to congratulate the pacer. However, in the shocking turn of events, the 28-year-old slapped Ghulam while giving others a high-five.

The incident has drawn a lot of criticism from the fans. On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hasn’t issued any statement on the matter. Talking about the match, the Men In Yellow beat the home side in the Super Over after the game was tied. Batting first, the 2017 winners amassed 158/7 with only Shoaib Malik (32) crossing the 30-run mark. For the Men In Green and Black, skipper Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hafeez, and David Wiese took one wicket each while leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed took two.
In reply, the 2020-finalists were struggling at 94/6 at one stage. Ghulam scored a brisk 25 off 18 balls. Hafeez (49) and Afridi (39*) stitched a partnership of 35 runs before the former was dismissed by Wahab Riaz. In the last over, they needed 24 runs to win. The skipper wielded his willow and tied the gam for the team. However, the team could score only five runs in the Super Over which was chased by Zalmi in just two ball with Shoaib Malik hitting back-to-back fours.
