Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has caused a stir on social media by sharing a video that appears to depict someone resembling the legendary World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev. In the video it is being seen that a man who looks like Kapil Dev is physically restrained by two individuals, with his hands tied and mouth gagged. Gambhir expressed concern for Kapil Dev’s safety in his post.

However, the authenticity of the video remains unverified, and speculation is rife that it could be part of an advertising campaign. Such instances of celebrities appearing to be in distress for viral attention have occurred in the past. Kapil Dev was recently seen in Varanasi, where he joined Prime Minister Modi, along with former cricketers Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, and Sachin Tendulkar, for a stone-laying ceremony at the International Cricket Stadium in Uttar Pradesh.

The video has sparked a debate on social media regarding the ethics of using such tactics for publicity. Gautam Gambhir supports Pakistan captain Babar Azam to make a blazing impact in the World Cup

Gambhir has commended Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, for his potential to excel in the upcoming World Cup 2023. The Pakistan skipper is currently the top-ranked ODI batter and a top-10 player in all three formats.  Babar has swiftly climbed the ranks despite debuting later than players like Virat Kohli, Joe Root, and Steve Smith.

The two-time World Cup winner also highlighted Babar’s exceptional talent and compared him favorably to cricket’s renowned batters.
