Talking about the game, the Blackcaps absolutely thrashed the Green Brigade. Batting first, the Shakib Al Hasan-led side could only score 137/8 at the end of the innings. Players such as Najmal Shanto (33), and Afif Hossian (24) got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Notably, the skipper came out to bat at number seven. This was very uncharacteristic of the all-rounder.
Talking about the Kiwis’ bowling, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Michael Bracewell, and Ish Sodhi took two wickets each. In reply, the Men in Black lost the early wicket of Finn Allen (16) but the likes of Devon Conway (70*) and Glenn Phillips (23*) ensured the team wins easily. Skipper Kane Williamson (30) spent some time in the middle as well.
At the time of writing, the team w their next game as well. In the fourth game of the Tri-Series against Pakistan, the home team thrashed the visitors by nine wickets and 3.5 overs to spare. Batting first, Pakistan could only score 130/7. In reply, New Zealand chase down the target in just 16.1 overs.
