Watch: Hardik Pandya caught on mic abusing teammate during second ODI against Sri Lanka
Ahead of the ongoing white-ball series against Sri Lanka, India all-rounder Hardik Pandya was given leadership responsibilities. He was appointed the captain for the T20I series and vice-captain for ODIs. In the T20I series, Pandya led the team to 2-1 series win. Meanwhile, in the ongoing second ODI against the same side, the all-rounder’s unruly language was caught on the mic.
Apparently, in the Lankan Lions’ innings, the five-time Indian T20 League winner was caught using foul language. After the end of 11 overs, Hardik was heard yelling at a player and reminded him about bringing drinking water. Apparently, the right-hander wasn’t happy with the other player not bringing the water on time. A fan recorded the moment and uploaded it on Twitter.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the Dasun Shanaka-led side won the toss and elected to bat first. After all, the venue has seen teams batting first winning the games more often. Shanaka at the toss mentioned the same. “It’s a good wicket, and looking at the venue stats we want to bat,” said Shanaka.
For the first 17 overs, the decision proved right as they amassed 107/1, losing the wicket of Avishka Fernando early in the innings. However, Indian bowlers made a terrific comeback in the middle overs. The likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj took three wickets each. On the other hand, Umran Malik took two while Axar Patel took one. Also, the latter took three wonderful catches. From 107/1, the visitors are bowled out for 215 runs in just 39.4 overs.
At the time of writing, India has scored five runs in the first over with one ball to go. If they win this, they will once again win another series against their Asian neighbors at home.
