WATCH: Hasan Raza criticises Apex cricket council for being biased towards Indian bowlers in ODI World Cup 2023

Pakistan’s former cricketer Hasan Raza made headlines as in a recent interview he criticized the Apex Cricket Council for favouring the Indian cricket board and the host nation of the ODI World Cup 2023, India. Raza asked the authorities to take action and investigate if the Indian cricket board is changing the ball in the second innings as India begins to defend the target against the opponents.

Instead of criticising, Hasan Raza unknowingly appreciated Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj for their spectacular swing bowling in the ODI World Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka after India beat them by 302 runs, as he compared them with the legendary South African cricketers Allan Donald and Makhaya Ntini.

Hasan openly blamed the apex cricket Council, the Indian Cricket Board, the umpires on the field and even the third umpire on the LIVE television channel for giving the bowlers some different ball during their innings.

“We are not able to understand batsmen playing against other teams but whenever India begins their bowling, bowlers like Shami and Siraj look like when we used to play Allan Donald and Makhaya Ntini in South Africa. There used to be a shine on the ball on one side and there it used to seam and swing, but here I think even the ball is getting changed in the second innings. The way ICC is giving these balls, or maybe the third umpire or BCCI is giving…I think these balls should be inspected,” said Hasan Raza in a recent interview on a Pakistan news channel.

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Akash Chopra replied to Raza and the news channel via tweet while criticising them for their absurd remarks, he said, “Is it a serious cricket show? If not, please mention ‘satire’ ‘comedy’ in English somewhere. I mean…it might be written in Urdu already but unfortunately, I can’t read/understand it.”
