Watch: James Anderson Reveals Hilarious List Of Twitter Muted Words Including Some Cricketers, Video Goes Viral
James Anderson is one of the greatest bowlers of all time in the history of this game. He has represented England across various formats. As of now, he plays in the Test format only. Currently, he is busy playing in the ongoing three-match Test series against South Africa at home conditions.
However, he attended the Tailenders podcast with co-hosts Greg James, Felix White, and Matt ‘Mattchin’ Horan. There, he revealed his muted words on Twitter which accidentally included some cricketers’ names also from rival countries. This hilarious video went viral and fans also started to circulate that on social media platforms.

James Anderson has surpassed Glenn McGrath with 951 wickets in the International cricket
Speaking of the viral video, Anderson first shared some words like “calf”, “injury,” “injured”, “done”, “finished”, and “Australia”. It might refer to the calf injury which ruled him out of the 2019 Ashes. He bowled just four overs and the injury also forced him to miss the first Test of the series.
Then, he shared words like “cloud”, “clouds” and “clouderson”. It referred to some of those fans who claim that he is only effective in the home conditions. He also muted two cricketers’ names, Glenn McGrath and Rishabh Pant. Along with these, the list included “reverse”, “reverse sweep”, “sweep” and “sweeping”. Apart from all of these, James Anderson has been always compared to another legend, Dale Steyn. Regarding that, he muted the words “w*** bowler” and “worse than Steyn”.
However, in an interview with Sky Sports in 2020, Steyn heaped praises for Anderson. He said: “I watch Jimmy bowl and he is just ridiculous. I could never bowl those big in-swingers and use the crease the way he did. I am a fan of Jimmy’s, I’m not going to lie, but when you are playing against each other you can’t allow that to come out – you don’t want to show that weakness if you want to call it that. I have no skill!” In response to that, Anderson said: “Dale’s record speaks for itself – it is absolutely ridiculous. Unbelievable strike rate, unbelievable average. He has done himself a disservice as he is definitely skillful, and can definitely swing the ball. He swung it at 90mph-plus which was incredibly difficult to face. He was intimidating in more ways than one.”
