Kuldeep Yadav isn’t part of the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 squad. He was included in the team for the ODI series against South Africa. In the ongoing game against the Proteas, he bamboozled Aiden Markram the way he used to do in the past. On the last ball of the 16th over, the left-arm wrist spinner bowled a leg-spin delivery coming back into the right-hander.

Markram failed to cover the spin and was beaten for the turn. The ball went on to crash the stumps which ended the 2014 U19 World Cup-winning skipper’s inning. During the over, Yadav kept troubling his counterpart with wonderful deliveries. The way Aiden was set up looked like his wicket might fall soon. The same thing happened at the end of the over.

The ball reminds the fans of the India-Pakistan encounter in the 2019 ODI World Cup. During the game, Kuldeep bamboozled the current Pakistan skipper pretty much the same way. Meanwhile, talking about the game, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. They had a good start with the ball even though they couldn’t take any wickets in the powerplay.

The likes of Mohammed Siraj and Avesh Khan bowled tight lines during the powerplay. Shardul Thakur got the reward as Janneman Malan was caught playing a shot against the ball down the leg side. Skipper Temba Bavuma’s poor form with the bat continued. Quinton de Kock scored 48 before he was trapped lbw by Ravi Bishnoi. Currently, the likes of David Miller and Heinrich Klassen are batting on the crease at the time of writing.

A few moments ago, Shikhar Dhawan dropped the catch of Miller on the bowling of Bishnoi. Dhawan ran towards long-off while Avesh Khan was running in. In the end, both players didn’t reach the ball. It will be interesting to see if this mistake comes back to haunt them. At the time of writing, the score reads, 155/4 in 29 overs.
