Nicholas Pooran and Andre Fletcher thrashed Dubai Capitals

Meanwhile, in the game, the Emirates won the toss and elected to field first. MI skipper Kieron Pollard said, “We want to bowl first, see what it has to offer, and see if we can put them under pressure.” The decision was proved right as former India cricketer, Robin Uthappa was caught by Pooran off Trent Boult. At 15/1, Scotland and Zimbabwe internationals, George Munsey and Sikander Raza respectively put together 78 runs for the second wicket.

However, they took 64 balls for the partnership which didn’t help the team’s cause. After Boutl took his second wicket in the form of Raza, the likes of Munsey and Rovman Powell struggled as they added only 27 runs in 22 balls. In the end, the DC could only amass 151/5. For the MI, Boult and Rashid Khan took two wickets each while Dwayne Bravo took one. In reply, the Blue Brigade lost two early wickets of Muhammad Waseem and Lorcan Tucker in the first seven overs and 48 runs on the board. However, the likes of Pooran and Andre Fletcher put together an unbeaten 104 runs for the third wicket and took the team home with 3.2 overs left in the game.
