Pakistan is currently gearing up for the clash against arch-rivals India in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. However, the team is facing an issue with the injury of Shan Masood. The batter suffered an injury on his head during a practice session on Friday. He was immediately rushed to the hospital after he suffered the blow.

On Friday morning, as the Pakistan team was preparing for the high-octane match against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz muscled a powerful shot in the nets that hit Shan Masood on the head. The Pakistani player collapsed to the ground, and his teammates immediately rushed to his aid.

A moment later, he stood up and walked out of the training ground, his hand covering the part of his head that had been hit. Nawaz dashed behind his teammate to check on him after the incident. He was immediately taken to the hospital for scans, with Pakistan team management anxiously awaiting the results.

The injury is a major setback for Pakistan, who face India in two days at the iconic MCG. As a sigh of relief for the Men in Green, Shaheen Afridi has recovered from his injury and will be up for selection on the 23rd of October.

The last time these two arch-rivals met in a World Cup game, the team led by Babar Azam emerged victorious. The Pakistani team dominated the game, and captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan guided the team to a 10-wicket win. Rohit Sharma and Co will look to turn things around this time.

The Super 12 Stages of the tournament will begin on the 22nd of October, with hosts and defending champions Australia taking on New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The semi-finals of the mega event will take place on November 9th and 10th, with the final taking place three days later, on November 13th, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
