WATCH: MS Dhoni silences CSK supporter during practice session ahead of CSK vs KKR clash in IPL 2023
The 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is eventful for many Indian cricket fans as it could be MS Dhoni’s last in IPL. Despite continuing to play and lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the competition, Dhoni last represented India in 2019 and officially retired from international cricket in 2020. Because of this, his fan base is always in anticipation of when he could call it time.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the IPL did not follow a home-and-away format for three consecutive seasons, preventing CSK from playing in front of the Chepauk Stadium. Dhoni has stated that he wants to end his career in front of the Chennai supporters. Thanks to the support of cricket fans not just in the southern region but also all throughout India, he will have the chance to accomplish the same during the 2023 campaign. Even when CSK plays away, the stadium is a sea of yellow, with Mahi consistently receiving the loudest cheers of the day.
MS Dhoni can be seen putting one finger on his lips to silence the supporters in the recent video that is going viral. The video’s true motivation, though, is extremely charming. ‘Thala’ was only attempting to quiet the chaotic and noisy CSK supporters.

KKR in bottom half of the points table
Whether MS Dhoni will play in another IPL season or retire is the topic that gets the most attention in cricket right now. However, nobody wants to seize the chance. For tickets to Chennai Super Kings’ last home game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, many fans have been waiting in line all night.
A report in the Indian Express claims that there are individuals waiting in line for the cheapest ticket, which costs Rs 1500, including homeless people, regular workers, and students so that other people may see the game. CSK are currently at the second position with 15 points and KKR have 10 points and are at eighth position in the 12 games played so far in the cash-rich league.
