Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and their captain, MS Dhoni, shared a heartwarming moment with his daughter, Ziva, after their victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Chepauk Stadium on May 10. The win solidified CSK’s position in the second spot on the IPL 2023 points table, with seven wins out of 12 matches and a total of 15 points.

Needing just one more point to secure qualification for the IPL 2023 playoffs, CSK put on a clinical display against DC. After winning the toss, Dhoni elected to bat first. However, CSK struggled to build substantial partnerships and found themselves at 126/6 after the dismissal of Ambati Rayudu, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by Mitchell Marsh, who claimed three wickets.
With the team in a precarious position, Dhoni decided to take matters into his own hands. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman turned back the clock with a quick cameo, scoring 20 runs off just nine balls before falling victim to Marsh. His contribution helped CSK reach a respectable total of 167.
