Watch: Nora Fatehi performs on FIFA World Cup’s theme ‘Light the Sky’

Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi lit up the FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony on November 19. However, she performed with the likes of Balqees Ahmed Fatehi, Rahma Riad, Manal, and RedOne. Notably, these individuals are famous singers from different nations. On the other hand, Nora Fatehi is an item-song performer in Bollywood films. They came together to shoot the World Cup theme song ‘Light the Sky’.

Talking about the theme, FIFA always hires songwriters and singers to write a theme song for every World Cup. In 2010, ‘This time it Africa’ is still a favorite of a lot of fans. Also, in 2014 and 2018, different theme songs were released.

Meanwhile, talking about the tournament, the opening game was played between hosts Qatar and Ecuador. The visitors won the game by 2-0, thanks to Enner Valencia’s two goals in the 16th and 31st minutes of the game. Notably, it was rumored that the game has been ‘fixed’. Apparently, Amjad Taha claimed that Ecuador played have been ‘bribed’ to lose this game.

However, this report was rejected by Marc Owen James as he wrote “Just a heads up if anyone sees a story about Qatar bribing Ecuador 7.4 million to lose the opening game – it started here from a well-known disinformation account who is somehow also the main source in the story @amjadt25. It’s already got thousands of RTs though,” he posted on Twitter.

After the game, Taha wrote Congratulations #Ecuador The bribery case we exposed may have affected the outcome and persuaded all to play a fair game instead. Wouldn’t it be funny if Ecuador actually took the and thought “we’ll beat #Qatar anyway, what they going to do..confess they offered bribes”.
