Talking about these players, they haven’t been part of the Pakistan setup across formats for quite some time. As Galle’s journey in the tournament has ended, they would look forward to playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) early next year. Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized a player draft for the eighth season of the PSL. Before the drafts, these players were retained by their franchises.
Wasim is part of the Karachi Kings, Riaz was retained by Peshawar Zalmi, and Khan will continue to be associated with Islamabad United. Notably, Riaz has been removed as captain of the 2017 winners and replaced by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. On the other hand, As Azam left the Kings, Imad Wasim might be reinstated as the captain of the 2020 winners. Last year, the franchise appointed Babar as the skipper, only to see their team losing nine out of 10 games.
