The Indian cricket team and Sri Lankan team are meeting once again in the Asia Cup 2023 finals. The two teams have played each other eight teams in the finals of the Asia Cup before this. India has won five of the finals, while Sri Lanka has won three times.

Sri Lanka is the defending champions of the Asia Cup after they won the title in 2022. India has won it seven times and will be looking to make it title number 8. Sri Lanka also has won the Asia Cup six times and if they win on Sunday, they will tie with India with 7 titles.

Bright weather welcomes cricket fans before the final encounter –

Noted Journalist, Vimal Kumar took to Twitter and posted a short video of Colombo. The weather seemed really pleasant with no rain in sight. The sky had a mix of blue and dark with the beautiful Colombo skyline visible.

Vimal Kumar wrote on Twitter “Good Morning India! Are you ready for The Asia Cup Final? Colombo morning weather is at least ready! Will it be the same throughout the day?” Every fan wants the weather to hold up as two exciting teams fight for the biggest trophy in Asian Cricket.

Colombo weather has been playing hide and seek during the course of the tournament. There was stoppage during the Sri Lanka versus Pakistan encounter as the game got reduced to 42 overs per side.

The India versus Pakistan also went into reserve day after rain stopped play last Sunday. There is good news for the fans though, if rain does stop play on 17th September, there is a reserve day for the final.

The weather though isn’t promising during the course of the day. There is a good chance of heavy rain when the game is being played. It is predicted there will be constant cloud cover and a chance for a few showers close to 5 PM local time.

India and Sri Lanka both are suffering from injuries to their players ahead of the final. Maheesh Theekshana has already been ruled out of the final after he suffered an injury on Thursday against Pakistan. Axar Patel is also back in India and replaced by Washington Sundar for the final. Axar suffered a quadriceps strain during the game against Bangladesh on Friday.
