While chasing a target of 187 runs, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav scored the fifties each to ensure the victory. But, a video went viral where Rohit Sharma acknowledged the knock of the former skipper while he was heading back to the dressing room after losing his wicket. Rohit Sharma patted Virat Kohli’s back while both were seen hugging after winning the match
Speaking of the video, Virat Kohli scored 63 runs off 48 balls, including three fours and four sixes. He lost his wicket in the last over of the match to Daniel Sams. While he was going back to the dugout, all his teammates clapped for him. Then, skipper Rohit Sharma was seen on stairs on the way to the dressing room.
There, Rohit Sharma patted Virat’s back for acknowledging his match-winning contribution in this must-win encounter. Even, after the match, Virat Kohli was seen hugging the Indian skipper to celebrate India’s series victory. Speaking of the match, Australia batted first and scored 186 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.Â
Camron Green scored 52 runs off 21 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. On the other hand, Tim David scored 54 runs off 27 balls, at a strike rate of 200. It was his maiden T20I fifty for Australia. In response, India managed to chase down the target in 19.5 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 69 runs off 36 balls. India defeated Australia by six wickets to win the series at a margin of 2-1. With this win, India bagged another bilateral T20I series under the leadership of Rohit Sharma ahead of the 20-20 World Cup in Australia.
