India skipper Rohit Sharma was known for his cool and calm approach towards the game before becoming the skipper of the national side. However, in the last few months, things have changed drastically. In the last few months, the fans have witnessed his aggressive behavior on the field. This time around, even though it wasn’t aggressive behavior, he was caught on stump mic cussing Shubman Gill.

The incident happened during the Australian innings when the scorecard read 384/6. Before the incident, Ravichandran Ashwin managed to break the long partnership of 208 runs between Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green. The right-arm spinner also took the wicket of Alex Carey to bring back the team into the game. However, the likes of Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon helped the team reach 480.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a good start to India

Meanwhile, after the Steve Smith-led side scored 480 all-out, the home team needed to get a decent start to have the slightest chance in the game. At the end of Day Two, the Rohit Sharma-led side finished at 36/0 at the stumps. In the ongoing Day Two, the opening duo of Sharma and Gill scored quickly in the first session. When it looked like the former will get a big score, he was caught at shirt covers facing Matthew Kunhemann.

The right-hander scored 35 runs and put together 74 runs for the first wicket. On the other hand, Gill is batting on 80 runs and counting with Cheteshwar Pujara. The latter has scored 36 and counting and both have put together 85 runs and counting. AT the time of writing, the team has scored 159/1 in 56 overs. In the ongoing second session, run-scoring has been difficult as the Australian bowlers have bowled with tight fieds.
