India was on a roll as they clinched the ODI series on English soil by defeating them 2-1 on 17 July 2022 in Manchester. After losing the one-off Test match, India came back in the white-ball format by winning both the T20I and ODI series convincingly. Speaking of the ODI series, India won the series decider at Old Trafford after Rishabh Pant’s magical, maiden ODI ton while chasing a 260-run target.
After ensuring the series victory, during the post-match presentation, India was awarded some Champagne bottles for further celebration. Even, Rishabh Pant was the player of the match while Hardik Pandya was the player of the series. Hence, they also won a bottle of Champagne each as a token of appreciation. Rishabh Pant was the highest run-scorer of that series against England
Speaking about that video, the players were also super happy after clinching the series. They celebrated the victory by splashing champagne on one another. However, Rohit Sharma wanted his players to pose for a group photo by giving the champagne celebration a break.
He, even, was seen heard saying: “‘photo to khichwa lo pehle’ (Let take the picture first). Then, the celebration got held for a bit and they posed for a memorable photo. But, again they started to celebrate this series victory in some style.
Speaking about this three-match ODI series, India handed England a thrashing defeat in the series opener. On the other hand, England made a comeback by defeating India in the second match. In the last match of the series, England got bundled out for 259 runs and India chased down the target easily, courtesy of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya’s brilliance with the bat. Hardik Pandya also impressed fans with four scalps while bowling.
