Watch: Rohit Sharma’s black knee spotted during practice session ahead of the India vs South Africa third T20I
India entered the third T20I against South Africa after taking an unassailable lead of 2-0. The home team was looking to clean sweep the Proteas, a feat never achieved before in the T20Is. Meanwhile, ahead of the game, the Men In Blue skipper Rohit Sharma was spotted knocking the ball and had a black knee. Even though it is not clear, it seems as if he was injured.
The video has gone viral on the internet and the fans would be hoping for him to be okay. After all, in the last more than two years, he has had a few bouts with injuries that kept him out of important series. In early 2020, he missed the ODI and Test series in New Zealand. May months later, he missed the ODIs, T20Is, and two Tests in Australia.
Not to forget, he missed the entire tour of South Africa early this year. With the 20-20 World Cup 2022 round the corner, the team and its fans will be hoping for the best.

Talking about Rohit Sharma’s performance in the game, he bagged a silver duck. Kagiso Rabada managed to get through his defense in the first over of India’s innings. The team failed to chase down the target of 228 as they were folded for 178 runs. With this win, South Africa managed to avoid the clean-sweep. With this series, India and South Africa T20I assignments are completed ahead of the 20-20 World Cup. Now, both teams will play a three-match ODI series.
India will play the series sans its first-choice players while the Proteas will be entering the field with a full-strength squad. After the series, both teams will play two warm-up games before their World Cup campaign starts. South Africa will play New Zealand and Bangladesh while India will play Australia and the Kiwis. Both India and South Africa are slotted in the Group 2 of the Super 12 and will play each other on October 30.
