Watch: Sam Billings pulls off MS Dhonisque run out during ILT20 2023
English wicketkeeper batter Sam Billings pulled off MS Dhonisque’s run-out during the ongoing International League T20 2023 (ILT20). Dhoni was known to pull off ‘out of the textbook’ stumpings and run-outs during his international career. Fans might remember most of them. Meanwhile, Billings did pretty much the same in the game between Desert Vipers and Sharjah Warriors.
In the 10th over of the Warriors’ innings, skipper Joe Denly tried to play an off drive toward long-off. However, the white Kookaburra took the inside edge and was looking like getting past Sam Billings behind the stumps. However, the English wicketkeeper batter grabbed the ball and hit the stumps without even looking at it. In the replays, Denly was caught napping at the crease.

Sam Billings’s Desert Vipers get past Sharjah Warriors in a low-scoring game
Meanwhile, talking about the game between the Warriors and the Vipers, the visitors, Vipers won the toss and batted first. The away team crawled their way to 148/6. The likes of Rohan Mustafa (31) and Billings (27) struggled during their time at the crease. However, the likes of Sherfane Rutherford, and Benny Howell batted with much-improved strike rates and took the team to a fighting total.
For the home team, the Warriors, Muhammad Jawadullah and Noor Ahmed took two wickets each. On the other hand, former Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi took one. In reply, the Yellow Brigade, Sharjah never got going with the bat. They kept losing regular wickets and were restricted to 126/8, losing the game by 22 runs. For the Red Brigade, Luke Wood and Sri Lanka international Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets each. The latter was adjudged Player of the Match for his performance with the ball.
