Sarfraz Ahmad has been fined 30 percent of the match fee for such incident
For using such slang, the former Pakistan captain has been fined 30 percent of the match fee. He got fined for a level 1 breach of the PCB’s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. The player was charged for violating Article 2.3 which reads as, “Use of audible obscenity”.
The incident took place in the first innings of the match. However, there was no need for a formal hearing. After the match, Sarfaraz pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanctions. Match referee Nadeem Arshad proposed those sanctions. Meanwhile, On-field umpires Mohammad Asif and Imtiaz Iqbal, third umpire Rashid Riaz and fourth umpire Nasir Hussain imposed such charges. However, Sindh lost the match as Shan Masood scored a half-century while chasing. His knock helped Balochistan to win the match by five wickets.
Speaking about Sarfaraz’s international career, he has played 227 matches where he has scored 5790 runs across all three formats. However, he last played for his country in 2021. Since then, he failed to don the jersey of Pakistan across all three formats. Now, with this unfortunate incident, the misery continues in the former Pakistan captain’s career. Meanwhile, Pakistan is currently busy playing this year’s Asia Cup in UAE.
