Former Pakistan pacers, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar have given enormous performances on the field when they played. Talking about the former, he is still the all-time second-highest wicket taker in ODI cricket with 502 wickets. Only Muttiah Muralitharan ahead of him with 515 wickets. On the other hand, Akhtar still holds the record of bowling the fastest delivery in international cricket. He retired from the game after the 2011 ODI World Cup.
Meanwhile, a video of Akram and Akhtar has surfaced on social media. In the video, the duo has were seen posing as the villagers. In their own language and dialect, they had a heated conversation but it looked funny as it went on. Apparently, the video is the advertisement of a famous game show in Pakistan. The game is about winning any item which needs hefty amount of money.

Talking about the duo, they played together for a few years before Akram retired from the international cricket in 2003. Akhtar made his international debut in 1997. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ has played 46 Tests, 163 ODIs, and 15 T20Is. He carries the record of bowling 161 kmph per hour. No one apart from Mitchell Starc has come close to him. In 2015, the Australia’s left-arm pacer bowled a 160.9 kmph delivery to Ross Taylor at the WACA.
Umran Malik, who made his debut in June this year, can be a candidate to break the Rawalpindi player’s record. Talking about Akram, he has played 104 Tests and 356 ODIs. He was part of the 1992 World Cup winning, led by Imran Khan who also happens to be the former Prime Minister of his nation. Meanwhile, the 1992 World Cup winner is current working with a sports channel in Pakistan that is covering the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022.
