WATCH: Shreyas Iyer completes amazing catch to dismiss dangerous Zak Crawley during 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam
Zak Crawley has given England a great start in their pursuit of the 396-run 1st innings total by India. The 25-year-old is celebrating his birthday during the second day’s play of the Visakhapatnam Test.
Axar Patel was brought into the attack when he hit for a four on his first ball. The next ball the 30-year-old bowled a loopy delivery to tempt Zak Crawley to go for a big hit. Taking the bait, Zak Crawley came down the track but couldn’t time the ball well.

The English opener could only get to the bottom edge of the bat as the ball went high in the air. Shreyas Iyer who was fielding at point had to cover a lot of ground to get to the ball. The 29-year-old completed a fine catch to dismiss the batter for 76 runs of 78 balls.
Indian bowlers dent English top order –
After bowling out India for 396, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley strode out with a purpose. England’s openers took the aggressive option against the Indian seam bowlers. Mukesh Kumar in particular came in for harsh treatment from Ben Duckett.
The introduction of Kuldeep Yadav changed the game for India as the first wicket arrived in the 11th over. The ball bounced more than Ben Duckett had imagined as Rajat Patidar took the catch.
Ollie Pope got an early life as KS Bharat failed to stump him out in his very first ball. The second-wicket pair of Pope and Crawley added 55 runs in just 67 balls. After the fall of Crawley, it was Joe Root, who came out to bat to keep the momentum going.
Rohit Sharma was smart enough to get Jasprit Bumrah back into the attack. During the Hyderabad Test, Bumrah had got Root out in the second innings. The battle was won by Bumrah again as he got Root out for the 8th time in Test cricket.
The Indian pacer swung the first two balls outside the off-stump. The third ball Root came down the track to negate the swing Bumrah was getting in the air. Not to be outdone Bumrah swung the ball into the batter as Root’s edge was snapped up by Gill.
