On 8 July 2022, former India captain Sourav Ganguly turns 50 years old, and to celebrate this occasion, he was seen dancing to Bollywood songs in London. His daughter Sana Ganguly was also present there as all of them were seen dancing on the streets with their friends and family members at midnight.

However, the video got viral and fans loved to see the former Indian batter shake legs on Bollywood songs like ‘Om Shanti Om’ and then ‘London Thumkada’ and some more songs. Earlier to that, Ganguly was seen in a pre-birthday celebration with his former teammate Sachin Tendulkar, former IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla, and others.

In a recent interview with Zee 24 Ghanta, this left-handed batter expressed his gratitude for his fans throughout his career. He said: “I have had a long career and the fact that one person playing well can bring joy to so many people… this has been my biggest gift in 50 years, or at least the last 25 years of my cricketing career. I can feel that with every success of mine, others (fans/supporters) feel successful. I have seen it in their eyes, the way they interact. It’s an absolute blessing.”

Speaking of Ganguly’s career for India, he made his International debut in 1992. But, after going missing for a while, he made a comeback in 1996. In 2000, Ganguly was appointed as the captain of India. During his captaincy tenure, he managed to lead India to a Champions Trophy victory in 2002 (jointly with Sri Lanka). India also played the 2003 World cup final under his leadership and he got retired from the game in 2008. Ganguly also represented Kolkata and Pune franchises in the Indian T20 League.

In his career, he played in 311 ODIs and 113 Test matches, scoring 11,363 and 7,212 runs, respectively. He always gets remembered for giving opportunities to youngsters like Mohammed Kaif and Yuvraj Singh during his captaincy tenure in the 2000s.
