Watch- Suresh Raina and Tillakaratne Dilshan share a wholesome moment in Road Safety World Series final
Suresh Raina was one of the best fielders in modern cricket. On top of making important runs for the team, the Uttar Pradesh cricketers also helped the team by saving many runs on the field.
It looks like the 35-year-old hasn’t lost an inch of his fielding prowess, even after retiring from international cricket. In the ongoing Road Safety World Series, Raina went viral after taking a sensational catch in the Semi-final against Australia Legends. Standing at point, the former Indian cricketer took a flying catch to dismiss Ben Dunk off of Abhimanyu Mithun’s ball.
India Legends defeated Australia Legends in the semi-final and scheduled a final with Sri Lanka legends. These two teams had already played a final in the first RSWS season in which India had come on top. Their second final meeting brought about a similar result as India defeated the legends team from the neighbouring country by 33 runs. The game however was filled with wholesome moments; starting with Naman Ojha who bowed down to the Indian dugout after his century.
The second innings brought about another incident which is now doing the rounds of the internet for its wholesome content. The said video shows Suresh Raina poking fun at the non-striker’s crease where the Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan was backing up to his crease.

In the video, Raina could be seen collecting the ball and appearing to throw the ball at Dilshan. He charges toward the Sri Lanka batter with the ball in his hand while Dilshan backs into his crease. The two then hug each other on the pitch and shared a laugh about the light moment.
A straightforward win for India Legends
Talking of the match, it was a straightforward win for Indian Legends as they first posted a humongous total of 195/6 on the back of Naman Ojha century (108) and defended it successfully. Indian bowlers combined to subject Sri Lanka Legends to a score of 162/10 in 18.5 overs and won the match by 33 runs.
With this win, India Legends have now won back-to-back RSWS trophies defeating Sri Lanka Legends in both finals.
