In the ongoing five-match T20I series, Suryakumar Yadav-led India faces Australia at Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati for the third game. After winning two back-to-back matches, India is looking to seal the series in Guwahati. Meanwhile, Australia is looking for a win to stay alive in the series.

After being forced to bat first, India posted another daunting total. Despite losing two quick wickets to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ishan Kishan, India continued to hammer the Aussie bowling line-up. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, along with Ruturaj Gaikwad, added 57 runs for the third wicket and gave India a steady platform. Suryakumar, in his inning, scored 39 runs off 29 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.

However, one of his favourite Supla shots helped him get rid of a rusty start. Suryakumar smacked a beautiful ramp and shot off Nathan Ellis. In the fifth over of the game, Suryakumar Yadav smacked two beautiful sixes on the leg side, including one over the fine leg, to entertain the spectators. His shot soon went viral on social media, as fans found it amazing.

Meanwhile, apart from cricket fans, star India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also thrilled with Suryakumar Yadav’s amazing batting performance. Taking up the social media platform, Ashwin shared Suryakumar’s video and said that it always gives him thrills. He said, “I have watched him play this shot, so many times, but the thrill it gives me while I watch it is the same every single time.”

Despite this, the highlight of India’s innings was opener Ruturaj Gaikwad‘s blistering century. Gaikwad, in his innings, scored an unbeaten 123 runs off 57 balls with the help of 13 fours and seven sixes. His amazing batting performance helped India post a massive total of 222/3 in 20 overs. For Australia, Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendoff, and Aron Hardie took a wicket each.
