Watch: Umran Malik’s cleans up Michael Bracewell, bails travel beyond the 30-yard circle

India tearaway pacer Umran Malik is known to bowl at disconcerting pace. Last month, he delivered the fastest delivery in T20I cricket as an Indian bowler. Meanwhile, in the third T20I against New Zealand, Malik bowled one of his fastest delivery of his career. It resulted in the bails flying past 30-yard circle. This is not something which is usual in the game.
Fans must have seen stumps flying to a certain extent. Also, not to forget, when Jofra Archer clean up a Bangladeshi batter in 2019 World Cup, the ball went over the boundary line. However, the bails flying after Michael Bracewell’s wicket, the bails went past the 30-yard circle towards the third man. The video has been going viral on the internet.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, both teams entered the Narendra Modi Stadium with the three-match series leveled 1-1. In the game, the Men In Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing the wicket of Ishan Kishan in the second over, the home team rattled the opposition bowlers. Rahul Tripathi came out to bat and scored 44 off just 22 balls including four fours and three sixes.
He and Shubman Gill stitched a partnership of 80 runs for the second wicket. After Rahul’s wicket, Suryakumar Yadav and Gill added 38 runs 4.1 overs with Yadav scoring 24 off 13 balls. On the other hand, Gill hit his maiden T20I hundred and became the fifth Indian to score a hundred across all formats of the game. Skipper Hardik Pandya also got to 30 off 16 and the team reached 234/4 at the end of the innings.
In reply, the Kiwis got off to a horrendous start as they lost five wickets for 21 runs. After this, Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner put together 33 runs for the sixth wicket. After the latter was caught by Yadav at the boundary line, the last four wickets fell for just 13 runs. They were bowled out for 66 runs, losing the game by 168 runs.
