Watch: Wasim Akram’s son enters MMA World, training video goes viral
Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram‘s son isn’t into making the ball talk or wielding a willow. Junior Akram, Tahmoor is into MMA fights which are popular in the United States and fans across the world watch it. The latter has been living in the USA and was preparing to make a career in the same. Wasim confirmed his son’s passion for MMA during an event in the UAE.
During the event, the 1992 World Cup winner said that cricket isn’t much popular in the US anyway. The former left-arm pacer added that he gave his children all the right to live their life the way they want. Wasim further added that if his son wants to be a fighter, that must happen
“My son has been living in America there is not much cricket there anyway, I have given my children the right to live the life they want. If he wants to be a fighter, then he must,” Akram was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Tahmoor is son Akram’s son with first Huma, who passed away in 2009. The former Pakistani skipper later married Australian Shaniera Thompson in 2013 and is living Down Under. Wasim is lending full support to his son and making sure he gets the best of equipment and coaches.
Talking about the cricketer, he was the all-time highest-wicket taker in ODIs from 2003 to 2009. During the ODI World Cup 20 years back, he became the first bowler to pick 500 ODI wickets. The former Lancashire player finished his international career with 503 ODI wickets after Pakistan’s surprisingly first-round exit in the tournament.
Six years later Muttiah Muralitharan broke his record as he took the wicket of Gautam Gambhir in an ODI in early 2009. The Sri Lankan legend, Muralitharan, finished his career at 515 wickets after playing his last ODI in the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup.
