‘We’ve not seen any of that…’ – Former WWE staff opines Raquel isn’t worthy enough to face Rhea Ripley

Before competing against Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, former WWE senior writer Vince Russo expressed that Raquel Rodriguez has a lot to show. Backstage during this week’s RAW, Rodriguez had a run-in with a member of Judgement Day. Following her assault on Liv Morgan, Rhea got into a fight with the three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. The Nightmare had already hurt Raquel’s knee when many officials tried to separate the two women.

In the latest episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo admitted that WWE seems to be running out of opponents for Rhea Ripley. He claimed that WWE was not able to churn out high-quality opponents against Ripley. He questioned Rodriguez’s reputation in WWE. He had doubts about whether Rodriguez was cut out to play Ripley.

We need to see her strength and we’ve not: Vince Russo

“We need to see her strength and we’ve not. She shoots the back pose. No bro, we need to see how strong this woman is. We’ve not seen any of that. I guess they feel they have no other opponents for Rhea Ripley right now. I guess that’s what they feel, you know.” Raquel fought in the tag team bout with Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green with the Women’s tag team championship on the line in spite of the doctor’s suggestion to have some scans.

Taking advantage of Raquel’s injured knee, Sonya and Chelsea attacked her. Liv didn’t stop and she continued the fight. She was kicked out of The Unprettier by Green. Raquel was not happy with the loss and after the loss she apologized to her fans and Liv Morgan on Twitter. It will be intriguing to see if this tactic results in a potential WWE Women’s title showdown between the two women at SummerSlam.
